Water Safety Policy
As a minimum, each child under 8 must be directly supervised in the water by its parents or an adult (aged 18 or over). This is recommended by the Health & Safety Executive. No more than two children under 8 may be supervised by one parent or adult (aged 18 or over). Children aged under 4 years old must be supervised by an adult on a 1:1 basis.
Please note that during Family Fun swims these ratios can be extended due to the level of lifeguard supervision. Family fun swims have relaxed ratios due to a reduced capacity (capacity 50). An adult can supervise a maximum of 3 children aged between 4 and 7 or 2 x children under 4. A maximum of 1 child under 4 and 1 child between 4 and 7 is also permitted.
The centres are open seven days a week (except bank holidays) between 6:15 am and 9:30pm from Monday to Friday and between 8:15 am and 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday (holiday opening hours may vary).
