If you are receiving benefits, you may be eligible for a 50% discounted membership rate at our leisure centres.

We offer two convenient options for our PTL membership: Pay as You Go or Direct Debit (DD). With Pay as You Go, you have the flexibility to pay for the services you use, as and when you need them. Who is Eligible?

This membership is specially designed for individuals who are recipients of any of the following benefits: must be date within the last 6 months. Please note that this membership is also only available to Monmouthshire residents!

Before your PTL membership becomes active, your proof of eligibility needs to be verified, and all documentation must be dated within the last six months. The benefits applicable to our PTL scheme and the necessary evidence for activating your membership are listed below.

Housing Benefit = Housing Benefit letter and proof of address.

Council Tax Benefit = Council tax Benefit letter and proof of address.

Incapacity Benefit or Employment Support Allowance = Incapacity Benefit letter or Employment Support Allowance letter and proof of address.

Income Support (Income Based) = Income Support letter and proof of address.

Widows Benefit = Widows Benefit letter and proof of address.

Job Seekers Allowance = Job Seekers Allowance award letter and proof of address.

Universal Credit (replacing above named benefits) = Universal Credit letter which specifies which elements the customer is receiving. Screenshot of online account or bank statement showing receipt of benefits in applicants name and proof of address.

Disability living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment = Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment letter of entitlement and proof of address.

Disability Element (Credited within the Working Tax Credit) = Tax Credits letter and proof of address

Disability War Pension = A letter confirming you are receipt of a War Pension.

Pension Credit (Guaranteed) = A letter confirming you are receipt of a Pension Credit

Free School Meals (Applicable to Children only) = Customer must provide letter to prove they are in receipt of FSMs.

Our Pay as You Go membership offers the ultimate flexibility for those who prefer to pay for the services they use, as and when they need them. With no minimum commitment period, no sign-up fee, and a 50% discount, you have the freedom to use our services as often or as little as you like, while only paying for what you use. This membership is perfect for those who value flexibility and convenience.

Terms and Conditions

Customers who want to join the Passport to Leisure (PTL) membership program need to qualify based on some specific requirements related to certain benefits. The list of benefits that qualify can be seen here Passport to Leisure – Monlife
You will have an additional 7 days to provide further evidence to support you application if required.
Customers are required to re-qualify annually by providing relevant documents to prove their current eligibility. You will be notified one month before expiry to re-validate eligibility.
The minimum age requirement for our casual PTL membership is 5 years. Certain activities and services may have additional age restrictions. Membership categories are defined by age as follows: Junior Membership for ages 11 to 17, Adult Membership for ages 18 to 59, and Senior Membership for ages 60 and above.
Current membership terms and conditions applies, and no refunds will be given at any time
Membership entitles the customer to all the benefits highlighted under “Membership Benefits”
When purchasing a direct debit membership, a pro rata payment will be taken. This excludes the My Journey First Workout, which requires a one-time gym induction fee of £16
Pay as You Go discount is 50% off selected products and is applied at time of purchase.
Direct Debit transfers are accepted, please speak with our membership team before cancelling any current membership
Members who are still within their committed membership period, as per the terms and conditions, are not eligible for this membership.
