Weddings at the Shire Hall – Unique Wedding Venue in Monmouth

Looking for somewhere unique to get married? Perhaps an elegant venue with period features?  A venue that is convenient for you and your guests? Somewhere to host your ceremony and reception all under one roof?  If so, the Shire Hall is most definitely for you!  

With a choice of both ceremony and reception rooms, all of typical Palladian architecture including arched sash windows, high ceilings, internal pillars, a grand staircase and a warm welcoming atmosphere we are sure you will love the look and feel of the Shire Hall.

We can host your Civil Ceremony and/or Wedding Reception any day of the week and can accommodate up to 100 guests in a choice of rooms.   We don’t operate a “one size fits all” approach and so won’t tie you to restrictive packages. We’ll help you make the day your own, whether you’re looking for a small intimate affair or something much bigger. We are happy for you to celebrate your whole day with us or just a part of it – you choose and we’ll offer as much guidance and support as you desire.

The Shire Hall offers a unique and interesting wedding ceremony venue in the heart of Monmouth town centre.  With three rooms licensed for civil ceremonies, couples love the quirky elegant space the Shire Hall has to offer.

Wedding Receptions 

At the Shire Hall we offer you the freedom and flexibility to plan your wedding exactly as you’ve always imagined. Choose from our two beautiful rooms for your wedding breakfast and/or evening celebration.  Create your own menu with the caterer of your choice, choose your florist, photographer, Band or DJ to truly design your own wedding start to finish.  We are always on hand to make recommendations and to provide as much support and guidance as you need.

Couples are welcome to celebrate their whole day with us or just the day or evening party.  Exclusivity is also available if you would like the building entirely to only you and your guests during your celebration.
